Parents: Regardless of your knowledge or experience with apologetics, use this within your home to strengthen both your worldview and teach your child(ren).
Teachers: Whether you need low prep and fast start (and have little apologetics experience) or you love to study and research evidence for the Christian faith, use this to help structure your scope and sequence.
Groups: It can be used in homeschool co-ops, youth ministry, church classes, and private schools (with appropriate group license).
Note: The material is targeted to junior high, but easily adaptable for ages on either side.
Parents-Teachers:
The material in this course can be taught by showing the videos to students OR by using the videos as teacher training. Additional resources for expanded research are included with a majority of the videos.
Thus, this course is perfect for an experienced apologetics student-turned-teacher or others who have never studied the material themselves.
Often, the hardest part of teaching apologetics is knowing where to start, what to cover, and how to organize the presentation. Those questions are no longer an issue for the parent or teacher using the courses in this series.
Groups:
See the pricing table and license information for help in choosing the right package for your needs. This course can be used for everything from family devotionals to church groups and private classrooms.
Age Range:
The material was originally developed for use in a Christian school for junior high students. However, the author has taught sections of the material to 5th and 6th grade, as well as high school.
Younger students (5th and 6th) who are advanced in their thinking and foundations will be able to handle most of the material. They may need additional explanation and a slower pace. If parents are doing the teaching, they will easily be able to adapt to their children’s needs. If the group license is purchased, we recommend keeping the group smaller.
High school students who have never studied apologetics will do well with the material.
NOTE: The goal was to boil everything down to the most important and most memorable points. Thus, advanced science and in-depth research are NOT presented. This is effective for laying the foundation and building the framework.
However, if your teen (or group of teens) is already familiar with apologetics basics and is looking for an advanced course that studies the concepts in depth, there are other options on the market that may be a better fit.
